Festival of Trees

It is time for our annual Festival of Trees. The event will be Dec. 11 from 5-7 p.m. We would like you to join us on this night as we celebrate the Little Golden Book series. Admission is free, but we are asking for a $1 donation from all adults to help pay for the cost of the ornaments. This event is fun for all and very educational.

Awesome kids

We have so many awesome kids at AES! Recently, Mrs. Kim Johnson's class joined in with AMS 6th graders to raise money for St. Jude's Hospital through a read-a-thon. This one classroom of students raised $400.00! This money is enough for 10 children to have a treatment. Way to go third graders.

Veteran's Day Program

On Wednesday, November 12, our school honored veterans from our community. Above are those brave men and women who came out to share the day with us. Our event consisted of a slideshow presentation of AES students and members of their family who were in the military. Grades K and 1 participated in a coloring contest while grades 2-4 wrote some beautiful essays. The day ended with a video "Bring him home Santa". There were not many dry eyes left in the building. Special thank you to all who attended and to our committee and Dr. Jenkins for making it one to remember!

Ashville races for the cure!

On October 11, more than 20 of our faculty and students ran or walked in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Including our registration fees, our group donated $1,021.00 to the cause. This was my first year to participate in the event, but the experience is one I will never forget and want to continue each year. We are encouraging all Ashville Bulldogs to join us next year!
